Economic opportunities arising from climate action

The LGMA collaborated with the Eastern and Midlands Climate Action Regional Office (CARO) and the County and City Management Association (CCMA) to host a webinar about the economic opportunities arising from climate action in May 2021. 
The webinar was chaired by Anna Marie Delaney, Chief Executive, Offaly County Council in her role as Chair of the ‘Economic Opportunities Arising from Climate Action’ Project Steering Group. 
  • Marie Donnelly, Chair of the Climate Change Advisory Council provided interesting insights into climate action and economic development. 
  • Alan Dunney, Regional Co-Ordinator, Eastern and Midlands Climate Action Regional Office (CARO) provided the project background.  
  • Dr John Cullen, Maynooth University presented local government survey findings and policy analysis. The questions and answers session was moderated by Breda Maher, Regional Executive, Eastern and Midlands Climate Action Regional Office (CARO).
